What is your teaching style?
I shape each lesson to the student’s learning style and goals, creating an environment where learning feels approachable and meaningful. My goal is to build the patience and persistence that lead to lasting progress.
What will I learn as your student?
We’ll discuss your goals and how I can help you achieve them. If you’re not sure where to begin, I’ll outline a few possible learning paths and recommend the approach that best fits your needs.
Are we a good fit?
For younger students, we’ll make sure they’re ready to follow direction and stay engaged. Every student is expected to practice between lessons. Different schedules determine how much you can practice, but our goal is to make that practice feel natural and rewarding.
What is the right age to learn an instrument?
If you’re not sure your child is ready, I’d be happy to chat and help you decide. I didn’t learn guitar until I was 14, which some would consider late. It’s all about ability to focus and consistently practice. I’ve had middle-aged students progress as fast as any younger student due to their willingness to consistently practice. But again, the goal is to make that practice feel inspiring and rewarding.
How do online lessons compare?
Online lessons offer flexible scheduling and the option to record sessions. For many students and families, this approach fits naturally into their routines—whether they travel often, want to save time, or simply prefer my teaching style. My studio setup includes multiple camera angles to clearly demonstrate every technique.
What do I need to get started?
Getting started is simple—all you need is an instrument. I can provide guidance on affordable options and help you choose what will work best for your needs.
